Winter Friends

It's hard to think about snowmen and winter right now - but I know it's coming.  I do love seeing the snow and Christmas of course.  But I do hate driving in it and gee, I'm lucky to walk upright on dry ground much less on snow and ice.

The card I'm sharing today is for winter...so obviously this one isn't in the mail yet.  LOL!!  But it will be in a few months!!!  The image is "Winter Friends" from From The Heart Stamps.  It's so cute!!  Add some ribbon, bling, and paper from the stash - and this is what I came up with:

Philippians 4:13

One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13....so of course I had to use it when I saw it was part of the set for the Stamp of the Month Challenge!

Saturday - a day of relaxing and crafting

I love days like this.  There was a ton of things to do today.  This morning I was able to meet a friend for breakfast at Panera and it was so nice to just visit and spend time with someone who....get's me.  Does that make sense?  This friend is such a blessing in my life and I value her so much.  When we get together we talk about everything from our jobs to our family to our faith to stamping.  It's so natural and comfortable.

After lunch and a couple errands I was able to spend an hour or so in my craft room.  I took the computer and listened to K-LOVE on iHeartRadio.

The first card I made is one I really enjoyed making and love how it turned out.  I was looking at the challenge blogs for inspiration and found a neat sketch on Unscripted Sketches (#256) then at Clear it Out Challenge the theme was "What's Your Style"....and Twisted Tuesday was black, white, and one other color.....  So I found a verse and an embossed piece of card stock that was sent to me as an RAK on SCS.  Add one color - red - and some bling.....and this is what I came up with:

The other card I made is just pure fun!  I love the image and inside the card is a Bible verse (part of the set).  It also shows one of my favorite embellishments - buttons.

And before I leave you today I have to share a picture of my "baby"....I couldn't find him and wondered where he was.....well of course he was laying on my purse!

Spring follows

This morning I was watching the Weather Channel and saw that there are parts of the country that are under a Winter Storm Warning.  What?  It's the end of April?  Since Winter seems to be hanging on in some areas, I thought it was the perfect time to post this card - the sentiment fits today perfectly!

The image is "Spring Medley" from From The Heart Stamps.  The sketch I used is from their sketch challenge.  I used a Spellbinders Embossing folder and some paper from DCWV.  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

Bird Birthday

Nothing like waiting until the last minute huh?  That's what I'm doing here....I had all month to make a card with this months image at From the Heart Stamps and I'm just now posting my creation.

I loved the image this month and it seems like I never have enough Birthday cards so this was just perfect!  When I was trying to figure out what color to make my bird all I kept thinking about was "the bluebird of happiness".  LOL!!  Looking at the blue marker choices I couldn't decide and then seemed to be leaning towards almost a teal color so my bluebird turned teal.  You just never know how things are going to go when you sit down at the craft table.  LOL!!

Here Kitty-Kitty-Kitty!

I didn't have much time in the craft room today since it's Sunday.  Sundays for me are spent the same way week after week.... Church in the AM, come home and eat dinner, usually a nap in the afternoon, and then church in the evening.  I LOVE SUNDAYS!  It certainly is a day of rest for our household.

My card today is a kitty theme.  I love cats...I have two of them.  Our Fur-Babies truly think they are people and we were put on this earth to serve them.  Even as I'm typing this post - one is on one couch and the other one is on the other couch...both lounging as they usually do.

From the Heart Stamps has a monthly challenge and everyone is a winner.  How great is that!?  This month they are offering a freebie - which is the little kitty I used for this card.  The neat thing is that if you participate using their monthly stamp, they will send you the stamp for next month free.  I'm all about freebies!  LOL!  I kept the kitty white and just colored the heart red and put some pink on her (yes, I've decided the kitty is a "her" - LOL!) nose and ears.  The papers I received in two different swaps.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!  Of course I'm submitting this card for From The Heart Stamps Monthly Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  God bless you on this beautiful Sunday!!!!
