Pumpkins and candy.....oh my!

This week is Halloween....and festivities are starting early at least around here - in my neighborhood we are having Trick or Treat today.  It's so cute to see the little kids dressed in their costumes roaming the neighborhood looking for candy...brings back memories of doing that myself....many...many...many years ago - LOL!!

Our theme for our new Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs is Halloween.  Our sponsor for this round is Dilly Beans Stamps.  Now remember that you have until November 5th to enter the challenge...and the chance to win!

For my card I used Mimi & Sarah's Pumpkins Framed.   I picked this image because typically I don't really celebrate Halloween and thought this could be used as even a Fall image.  What do you think?

Here's a little something else to encourage you:

More catching up....

Yep - I'm catching up again....this time it is a card kit that was sent to me by my very good friend - Ginny.  Ginny has a fabulous blog with lots of freebies:  Maxam Made.  You'll keep going back again and again - believe me.  Ginny sent me the kit gee, I think over a month ago...and so since I've been on vacation this week I've been able to use it.  Here's the cards I made using the great images and papers she sent:

The only coloring I did was on the blue flower on the third card.  All the other images Ginny printed in color.

Thank you, Ginny, for the wonderful kit - and making me go outside my box using images that I normally would not use....Love them!!!!

Just a thought:

What a great promise!!!

Thanks for stopping by today...God bless you!!!!!

Catching up

Every month, as part of the "Girl's of the Baker's Dozen" over at Splitcoast Stampers, a kit arrives...and I've been slacking - but yesterday I was able to catch up!  So here is 3 months worth of cards:

August kit (from Kelly)

September kit (from Krista)

and the October kit (from Soni)

Being on vacation is allowing me to spend some time in the craft room - LOL!!!!  I needed to build up my stash of cards again too...it was starting to dwindle.

A little something to encourage you today:

God bless you today!!!  Thanks for stopping by today and spending a few moments with me.  Have a very blessed day!!!

Beary Buttons

Today Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays.  Both these teams hold a special place in my heart - Deedee's Digis because I'm currently on the DT, and Sentimental Sundays because I had the honor of being a guess designer.  The theme for this challenge at Sentimental Sunday's is Buttons.  I used Deedeeis Digi's "Teddy Frame" (which just happens to be a freebie in the Deedee's Digis shop!).  I colored the bear using pencils because I wanted him to have that rustic/furry feel...not sure I accomplished that but I did think it was rather cute:

Of course since the theme of the challenge is buttons....had to add a few!

So why not join us over at Sentimental Sundays as we sponsor this great challenge blog!  Oh - and don't forget that your card/project must contain a sentiment to be entered in their challenge.

Here's a little bit of encouragement for you today:

God bless you today and have a beautiful day!!!!!!  Thank you for stopping by!!!

Kitty Costumes!

It's the second Saturday in October and that means that it's time for my Design Team spotlight at Kitty Bee Designs

There are such cute images for Halloween and when I saw these little kitty salt and pepper shakers - I just had to use them!!!!  They are colored with Spectrum Noir markers and everything else (stock, papers, ribbon, and buttons) is from my stash.  I must admit that I'm really enjoying not buying anything new and using what I have on hand.  Honestly it doesn't even look like I put a dent in my stash yet...but at least it is getting used.  YAY!

Come on over to Kitty Bee Designs and join us for our Aloha Friday challenges.  And of course - check out the ETSY shop too!

A little something for your encouragement today:

Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday - Die Cuts and/or Punches

It's Aloha Friday over at Kitty Bee Designs!  This round the challenge theme is Die Cuts and/or Punches.  Our sponsor for this round is:

Imagine That Digi Stamp has such cute sets.....it's hard to chose just one!  For my card I used a set called "Lady Bug Daisy Planter".  I don't have a color printer but I printed the "color" image in black and white and then colored it...not sure if I like how it turned out - but I do like the idea and may have to experiment more with that.  But as usual, I was in a time crunch and didn't have time to redo the coloring....one of these days I'll get organized and have more time to play.  LOL!!!

The flower punches are actually pieces that were sent to me in a swap or RAK.  Love getting goodies to play with!

Come on over and join us at Kitty Bee Designs for our Aloha Friday Die Cut/Punches Challenge.  I love to see all the different creations....it always inspires me.

A little something to inspire you:

Carriers of Faith....final farewell.....

This is a sad day....it's the final post for the Carriers of Faith group on Splitcoast Stampers.  I've been blessed to be part of this group and have enjoyed it so much!!!  Kelly has been a wonderful leader and I give her honor here because she certainly deserves it!

Our hostess for our final challenge is Shelly and she gave us the following challenge:

We had a priest come to a prayer group one evening, and he said in confessions the number one comment people make is how they struggle with Forgiveness. I am one who struggles with that as well, so I choose that as my topic for October and our final month together.

"Therefore I tell you, all you ask for in prayer , believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive your transgressions." Mark 11:24-25

So make a card- tell someone you have trouble forgiving that you love them and send it off in the mail to them!

I must admit that this challenge was truly a challenge for me...because honestly I don't have trouble forgiving people.  It's taken me a long time to get to that point...but I've learned that holding that grudge only hurts me and not the other person or people.  So I've learned to forgive and let things go.  I mean gee, if Jesus can forgive me of ALL my sins, can't I forgive someone for something small?  There's only one way I have been able to get to this point and that is because Christ gives me the strength.  So with that in mind, I made a card with one of my favorite verses......

So farewell to Carriers of Faith....it's been a true blessing to be able to spend time with these talented ladies of faith!!!  I love you all!!!!

God bless you today!!!!
